Kim MacQuarrie
Kim MacQuarrie, writer and anthropologist, has won several Emmy awards for his documentaries on regions as diverse as Siberia, Papua New Guinea, or Peru. He lived five years in the latter country, exploring its most remote areas, and in the Amazon, he lived with the recently located Yora tribe. His experience filming within another neighboring tribe, whose ancestors still remembered their contacts with the Inca Empire, led him to write The Last Days of the Incas. He is also the author of Gold of the Andes: The Llamas, Alpacas, Vicuñas and Guanacos of South America, Peru´s Amazonian Eden: Manu National Park and Biosphere Reserve, and Where the Andes Meet the Amazon.
Currently, he lives between Peru, Thailand, and the United States.
