Laurent Schwartz
At 64 years old, he is an oncologist in the French public health service working at the Paris Hospital (AP-HP), affiliated with the Polytechnic School.
Number one in his class at the Faculty of Medicine in Strasbourg, he later graduated in oncological radiotherapy at Harvard University (American Boards), and began his medical career in the United States, where he lived for seven years, before returning to France, where he continues to work as a therapist in various public hospitals in the capital. Schwart, in addition to caring for his patients, has directed his career and studies towards cancer research, for which he created, about twenty years ago, a multidisciplinary group at the Polytechnic School. In that framework of collaboration between the AP-HP and the Polytechnic School, doctors, mathematicians, physicists, and biologists came together.
