(1982) Professor of Spanish Literature at Colgate University, New York. She earned her PhD from the University of London, specializing in the work of Javier Marías. Author of The Fictional World of Javier Marías, she has contributed to media outlets such as The Objective, Letras Libres, and Quimera. Nada más ilusorio is her first novel.
