Osvaldo Bayer
Journalist, writer, translator, and film screenwriter, committed to libertarian and antifascist ideas. A staunch opponent of authoritarianism, Bayer had to go into exile, like many others, during the Argentine military dictatorship of 1976. Later, he honored memory from his Chair of Human Rights at the University of Buenos Aires and was part of the executive body of the Universidad Popular de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo, whom he always supported unconditionally. Among his works stand out the essays La Patagonia Rebelde (The Avengers of Tragic Patagonia), The Anarchist Expropriators and Other Essays, Severino Di Giovanni, the Idealist of Violence (Txalaparta), the novel Rainer and Minou, and the scripts for the films La Patagonia Rebelde (Silver Bear of Berlin) and La maffia.
