Pancho Saavedra
Francisco Javier Saavedra Guerra (Curicó, Chile, November 25, 1977), known as Pancho Saavedra, is a prominent Chilean TV host. He studied Audiovisual Communication with a focus on documentary film at UNIACC. He began his career in 2000 as a commentator on the program "Extra jóvenes" on Chilevisión. Later, he participated in shows like "Panoramix" and "Red Carpet". Since 2014, he hosts "Lugares que hablan" on Channel 13, where he travels across Chile showcasing its culture and traditions.
Saavedra has written three books based on testimonies collected during his programs:
"Lugares que hablan: Travel Diary of Pancho Saavedra" (2017)
"Lugares que hablan vol. 2: Travel Diary of Pancho Saavedra" (2018)
"Fighters" (2021)
In 2017, he received three Copihue de Oro awards in the categories of Best Host, Breakthrough Character, and King of Copihue de Oro. Additionally, he was recognized as Honorary Son of Curicó in 2018.
