Pävel Florenski
Pavel Florensky (1882-1937) was a Russian philosopher, theologian, mathematician, and engineer, known for his multidisciplinary thinking and profound influence on Orthodox philosophy and theology. His most notable work is The Pillar and Ground of the Truth (1914), a philosophical and theological treatise exploring the relationship between faith and reason. He also wrote Iconostasis (1922), analyzing the significance of the icon in Orthodox tradition, and The Imagination in Geometry (1923), addressing mathematical and philosophical issues.

Florensky combined science, art, and spirituality in his writing, making him a unique figure in Russian thought. His work was censored in the Soviet Union, and in 1937 he was executed during the Stalinist purges. His legacy has been recovered and revalued in recent times.
