Rafael Salmerón López
Rafael Salmerón López, born in Madrid in 1972, is a prominent writer and illustrator specialized in children's and young adult literature. He studied Illustration and Design at the School of Arts Nº10 and at the European Institute of Design, as well as Education Sciences at La Salle Faculty. He began his career in 1994 as an illustrator, and since 2001 has focused on writing his own stories.
Among his most notable works is "La rama seca del cerezo" (2021), which earned him the National Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature in 2022.
