Santiago Botero
Santiago Botero (Medellín, 1972) Business Administrator and professional cyclist between 1996 and 2010. He raced in six editions of the Tour de France, four of the Vuelta a España, and one Giro d'Italia. He was one of the great exponents of Colombian cycling. In 2002, he won the biggest title of his career by becoming the world champion in the time trial event. That year, he also won two stages in the Tour, one of which was the individual time trial where he defeated the favorite, Lance Armstrong. Since retiring from professional cycling, he gives talks inspired by his achievements as a cyclist and is part of the commentary team for the three grand tours on Caracol Televisión.
