Sara Codina
Sara Codina (Barcelona, 1979) is a prominent figure in the field of autism and neurodiversity. After living almost her entire life as an autistic person without knowing it, she was diagnosed with autism (ASD-1) at the age of 41. This led her to create the community Woman and Autistic, where she talks about her experience with the goal of eliminating stigmas, breaking myths, and helping those in the same situation. She has a diploma in Autism, organizes the Autism Invisible in First Person conferences, and is part of the executive board of the CEPAMA association (Committee for the Promotion and Support of Autistic Girls and Women). She also appears in the media and gives lectures and talks to raise awareness about the autism spectrum: the importance of early and correct diagnosis, the problem of inclusion, the gender bias in autism diagnosis, and what her life is like being autistic in a world designed by and for neurotypical people. Her personal story, educational work, and activism have helped change perceptions about this condition and promote a greater understanding of neurodiversity. She has published Neurodivina y punto (Lunwerg, 2023) and Lucía y el infinito (Lunwerg, 2025). www.mujeryautista.comInstagram: @mujeryautista
