Saúl Alvídrez
Saúl Alvídrez Ruiz is a Mexican activist and documentarian born in 1988. Inspired by Julian Assange, in 2012 he became the first member and founder of the student movement #Yo Soy 132, also known as The Mexican Spring. This student phenomenon, the largest in Mexico during the 21st century, fought media manipulation by organizing massive mobilizations that united students from public and private institutions nationwide.

His activism forced him to seek refuge in southern Latin America for several years, where he began filming his first documentary, which will premiere after the publication of this book. The feature film stars American intellectual Noam Chomsky, former Uruguayan president José Pepe Mujica, and features special collaboration from English musician Roger Waters (co-founder of the band Pink Floyd) as narrator.

Convinced that millennial and centennial generations have inherited an ecologically, economically, politically, and socially unsustainable civilization, Alvídrez asserts that his mission is to try to amplify public conversation among young people and focus it on solving global problems.
