I worked as a journalist and editor for four newspapers in Northern California before founding and running a community magazine for 10 years. Now my interests include gardening, playing with my grandchildren, and dreaming up new writing projects with artist Hallie Bateman. Our latest from Bloomsbury is our second book, "What to Do When You Get Dumped" (What to do when you are abandoned). The book started as a motivational talk for me after an epic abandonment and turned into a kind guide to creating my own new life. I hope it encourages others to know that they can do it too.
