Thich Nhat Hanh
He is a Buddhist monk, poet, scholar, and human rights activist nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. He was ordained at the age of sixteen as a Buddhist monk and during the Vietnam War founded the movement of engaged Buddhism to help his fellow citizens. The teachings of this revered Vietnamese master, known in the West as the introducer of mindfulness, have influenced some of the most powerful people on the planet. He has published more than a hundred books on various topics ranging from ecology and world peace to death and human relationships.
