Becky shelters Jaz in Miami, aiding him until his parents arrive from New York. Months later, Jaz's brother, Bas, a skilled Army Ranger, arrives, igniting a quest for vengeance. They seek Becky's unique, single-handed sailboat, and she joins their mission, her sailing expertise proving indispensable.

The group, including five soldiers, embarks on a perilous journey, navigating the Caribbean's waters. They collaborate with the Coast Guard and local authorities, tracing the criminals' path from Puerto Rico to Jamaica. During the voyage, Jaz and Becky's bond deepens, blossoming into love amidst the danger.

Their search culminates in a confrontation at a Jamaican bar, where they face the attackers. A fierce battle ensues, driven by the criminals' predatory interest in Becky and L'Toya, one of the soldiers. The group narrowly escapes, returning to Becky's boat. A calculated trap is set, and the criminals follow, leading to a violent clash at sea.

Their boat destroyed, Jaz is critically injured, landing him in a San Juan hospital. Becky's frantic race to his bedside is met with familial tension. Jaz's mother, initially disapproving of Becky's non-Muslim background, ultimately relents under pressure from her family and Jaz himself.

The couple's future holds further challenges, with Becky, a Jewish woman, deciding to withhold the relationship from her parents until they journey to New York.
