Synopsis "Anti-Krebs-Wirkung von α-Mangostin auf menschliche Brustkrebszelllinien (in German)"

In diesem Buch wurde α-Mangostin (AM), eine Xanthonverbindung, hinsichtlich seines Apoptosemechanismus auf MCF-7- und MDA-MB-231-Zelllinien untersucht. Die Behandlung der Zellen mit AM löste Apoptose mit Signalen aus, die den Zelltod auslösten. Es wurde vermutet, dass diese Art der Apoptose sowohl über extrinsische als auch intrinsische Signalwege und durch die Verhinderung der Translokation von NF-κB aus dem Zytoplasma in den Zellkern erfolgt. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigten, dass AM die Apoptose beider Zellen durch Modulation der Proteine NF-κB, Bax/Bcl-2 und HSP70 unter Mitwirkung von Caspasen auslöst. Daher wird AM ein erhebliches Potenzial bei der Bekämpfung von Brustkrebs zugeschrieben.
