Un hombre conduce sin un rumbo en mente, hasta que su coche queda atascado al final de una forestal. Es una tarde de finales de otoño, ya casi no hay luz y comienza a nevar. En lugar de desandar el camino en busca de ayuda o quedarse en el coche, de forma imprudente y sin saber muy bien por qué, el hombre decide adentrarse en el bosque. Inevitablemente, se pierde, y la noche sigue avanzando. Cuando el agotamiento y el frío empiezan a vencerlo, vislumbra un extraño resplandor en medio de la oscuridad.
