Synopsis "Caracteres Blancos (in Spanish)"

A man and a woman decide to leave the city for the desert, taking only two bottles of water and a blank journal with them. Blinded by the sun, they spend their fasting days reading each other the chapters they've written in white ink, chapters that narrate events as ridiculous as they are moving. The result is this novel made up of stories that ask themselves if the oscillation between delirium and severity is the only way to talk honestly--while hungry and in the desert--about love. Un hombre y una mujer deciden escapar de la ciudad al desierto, llevando solamente dos botellas de agua y un cuaderno con las páginas en blanco. Cegados por el sol, pasan los días de ayuno leyéndose el uno al otro los capítulos que han escrito con tinta blanca, capítulos que narran eventos tanto ridículos como conmovedores. El resultado es esta novela hecha de relatos que se preguntan si la oscilación entre el delirio y la austeridad es la única manera de hablar fielmente--en el desierto y con hambre--del amor.
