Lorenzo Scupoli (Otranto, ca. 1530-Naples, November 28, 1610) was a priest, religious, and Italian writer, belonging to the Order of Clerics Regular Theatines and is the author of Il combattimento spirituale (in English The Spiritual Combat), one of the most important writings of Catholic spirituality.
