It not only develops a thorough knowledge of chords, but also demonstrates the relationship of chords to all types of Major and Minor Scales, Keys, and Modes, providing information on Modes and Scales that can be used to improvise melodies over the harmonies.Each type of chord is thoroughly explained from several points of view and sufficient exercises are provided to enable the student to gain a thorough understanding of chords in all keys. Each section concludes with a piece of music for the student to apply their newly acquired chord understanding. An answer book is also available from the author's website.
