Synopsis "Cracking the pm Interview: How to Land a Product Manager job in Technology (Cracking the Interview & Career) "

How many pizzas are delivered in Manhattan? How do you design an alarm clock for the blind? What is your favorite piece of software and why? How would you launch a video rental service in India? This book will teach you how to answer these questions and more. Cracking the PM Interview is a comprehensive book about landing a product management role in a startup or bigger tech company. Learn how the ambiguously-named "PM" (product manager / program manager) role varies across companies, what experience you need, how to make your existing experience translate, what a great PM resume and cover letter look like, and finally, how to master the interview: estimation questions, behavioral questions, case questions, product questions, technical questions, and the super important "pitch."

Gayle Laakmann McDowell (b. 1982) is a computer engineer and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, former engineer at Google, Microsoft, and Apple, and founder of CareerCup. She became known as the leading author of the Cracking the Coding Interview series, first published in 2008, with a Spanish edition and translated into multiple languages. She is also the co-author of Cracking the PM Interview (2015), Cracking the PM Career, Cracking the Tech Career, and Beyond Cracking the Coding.

Her literary genre is non-fiction in career development and technical interviews. Although her work has been widely recognized for its influence on interview preparation and cited in media such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, no conventional literary awards have been specifically granted to the titles. The relevance of her work lies in its broad reach and practical utility for engineers and professionals in the technology sector.
