Dieses Buch enthält einen technischen Bericht über das sechsmonatige studentische Industriepraktikum (SIWES), das im National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Federal Secretariat Complex, Ikolaba, Ibadan, vom 17. September 2018 bis zum 22. Februar 2019 durchgeführt wurde. Wie vom Industrial Training Coordinating Centre (ITCC), University of Ibadan, Ibadan, gefordert, wurde die Studie in zusammenhängenden Kapiteln präsentiert, die den kurzen Hintergrund und die Ziele von SIWES, das Profil des NBS und die Organisationsstruktur, die grundlegenden Datenerhebungsverfahren, die Nationale Integrierte Haushaltserhebung (NISH) einschlie lich der Allgemeinen Haushaltserhebung (GHS) und der Preiserhebung sowie die Nationale Integrierte Betriebserhebung (NISE) umfassen. Die Relevanz der Mathematik wurde auch in Bezug auf die NBS unter dem Aspekt der Computermathematik überprüft, wobei das Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) eingesetzt wurde. Dieser Bericht dient als Modul in Kapitel sechs als Einführung in SPSS für Anfänger. Während dieses SIWES war ich in der Abteilung für Felddienste und Methodik der NBS tätig, die der Abteilung für Felddienste untersteht.
