Barack Obama (Honolulu, August 4, 1961), the 44th President of the United States, took office in 2008 after winning the election and was reelected for a second term in 2012. Besides his political career, he is known for being the author of Dreams from My Father and The Audacity of Hope, books that became bestsellers according to the New York Times

In recognition of his efforts to promote diplomacy and international cooperation, he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009. Currently, he resides in Washington D.C., with his wife, Michelle Obama, and their two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

Michelle Robinson Obama was First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. She graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and began her career as a lawyer at the Sidley & Austin firm in Chicago, where she met Barack Obama, her future husband. Later, she worked at the city hall and at the University of Chicago and its medical center. Also in that city, she founded the branch of Public Allies, an organization that prepares young people to work in the public service sector.

Currently, the Obamas live in Washington D.C. and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.
