Grant Morrison, born on January 31, 1960 in Glasgow, Scotland, is a renowned comic book writer, playwright, and producer. His style is characterized by non-linear narratives and the incorporation of countercultural themes in his works.

He is known for his innovative work in comics, from the graphic novel Batman: Arkham Asylum to the acclaimed series of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and X-Men, as well as his subversive creator-owned titles like The Invisibles, Seaguy, The Filth, and WE3.

On television, adaptations of his comic series Happy! for Syfy and Netflix and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World for Peacock have been developed. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Supergods. Morrison received an MBE for his services to film and literature.

Douglas Dale Mahnke descubrió el apasionante mundo de los cómics con apenas cinco años, cuando le regalaron una pila de tebeos de Spiderman. Desde entonces, su interés por la historieta no hizo sino aumentar, mejorando su técnica asistiendo a clases particulares de dibujo y practicando sin cesar. La ansiada oportunidad le llegó a los 24 años, cuando Dark Horse Comics le encomendó el apartado gráfico de Homicide, historia de género negro escrita por John Arcudi. El entendimiento entre ambos fue inmediato, repitiendo experiencia en diferentes cómics de La Máscara y en su serie de creación propia Major Bummber.

Ya asentado en la industria, no tardó en convertirse en uno de los dibujantes de referencia de DC Comics, formando equipo creativo con guionistas de la talla de Joe Kelly, Judd Winick, Chuck Dixon, Peter J. Tomasi o Ed Brubaker. Así, tuvo ocasión de colaborar en títulos como Superman: The Man of Steel, Liga de la Justicia de América: Élites, Batman, Black Adam: La edad oscura y Batman: El hombre que ríe.

Pero en su bibliografía ocupan un lugar muy destacado las colaboraciones con dos afamados guionistas: Geoff Johns con quien coincidió en Green Lantern; y Grant Morrison, quien le ofreció participar en Crisis Final, Siete Soldados de la Victoria y El Multiverso: Ultra Comics. Desde noviembre de 2014 ejerce como dibujante de Superman/Wonder Woman, colección en la que se ha reencontrado con Peter J. Tomasi.

La única colaboración de Doug Mahnke con Marvel hasta el momento se resume en los lápices de Silver Sable and the Wild Pack vol.1 #26.
