In this memoir about Rural life, Dowsing and Love, the author moves from being a shy Vermont farm girl attending a one-room school, to marriage and motherhood, to the Women's Movement and Communal Living in Boston. Answering a call to be part of the Human Potential Movement, she finds herself cooking for 200 people in California where she meets the likes of Joseph Campbell, Robert Bly, and O. Carl Simonton. She finds romance in mid-life, homesteads in Maine and Vermont, and all the while over her eight-decades-long journey uses her dowsing skills--at times in high-stakes situations.
