My name is pastor Chris Brown and many years ago I made a decision to follow Jesus all the Way, as the old saints used to sing Growing up in that little Pentecostal church. I made a vow unto the Lord That I won't turn back. Down on my knees, I made a holy vow That I won't turn back. This is the story of a life of a Christian disciple Who has had many trials and tribulations, setbacks, heartbreaks and disappointments. Nevertheless, I made a promise onto the Lord that I wouldn't turn back. I was born in Dallas Texas in 1975 to my lovely mother Mrs. Brown in which I am her only son. I thank God that he gave me a praying mother. Through many of my life hardships, my mother has always been a prayer intercessor on my behalf. She is married to my wonderful father Mr. Brown for over several years now in which they both have been an inspiration in my life. I gave My life unto the Lord at the young tender age of seven years old on June 6, 1983. I received the baptism of the holy spirit on January 27, 1984. I was baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. Though I was full of zeal at this young age nevertheless I still lacked knowledge in my relationship with Jesus Christ. Even though my mother and father we're of different denominations I learned from both. My dad being Baptist I learned systematic theology and my mom being Apostolic Pentecostal I Learned spontaneous worship and Praise. Many times I've found in religion that we're going back-and-forth over Christian dogma's and-isms and schisms over the Christian faith. However, I've come to the conclusion that we have more to agree upon than we disagree upon. The Bible says Wise is he that winneth a soul. I have experienced being a disciple that people want to know that you care before they care what you know. So I have decided on being a disciple of Christ to let love be my religion. So now I asked you as a disciple of Christ in the words of a Jamaican singer quote so now that we found love what are we going to do with it.
