Synopsis "Jamal (in German)"

Jamal bewegt sich als deutscher Milchkaffee mit äthiopischen Wurzeln am Rand der Kölner Gesellschaft. Er kämpft schlicht ums schwule Überleben, bis er seinen Sugar Daddy findet. Michael schnappt sich den hinrei end unkonventionellen Jungen, scheitert aber letztlich mit seinen Domestizierungsversuchen kläglich. Jamal zeigt sich dankbar fürs Füttern und Pflegen, geht aber sonst eigene Wege. Während Michael ihn als nice to have sieht, verliebt sich Jamal ausgerechnet in den Sohn der italienischen Konkurrenz, Pietro. Ihre gemeinsame Flucht scheitert schlie lich im Libanon, Pietro wird zum Mörder an seinem Bruder um Jamals Leben zu retten. Auch wenn Jamal weit davon entfernt ist, als lupenreines Vorbild gelungener Integration Bestand zu haben, setzt er auf sympathische Weise seinen Anspruch auf ein Leben jenseits sozialer Ausgrenzung durch. Es ist seine Schwester Zarah, die ihn daran erinnert, dass früher oder später alle Menschen Milchkaffee sein werden.
