Synopsis "Leer (in Spanish)"

Daniel Goldin Some see people passing by their window as part of the landscape, while others who take an extended look see nothing gratuitous in their movements. There are also people who see thousands of pages without feeling that commitment or liberating grace. Instead, they read to accumulate. There are a few people who enjoy reading people, places, statistics, maps, verse, and ideas, and what they read is what they do. They seek out clarity, and if they find it, they share it. For those people, Gabriel Zaid is a master of reading.
