María Emilia Cornejo (1949-1972). Poeta peruana nacida en Lima. Estudió Literatura en la Facultad de Letras y formó parte del Taller de Poesía en la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. A pesar de su muerte prematura es la escasez de publicaciones de sus poemas, la intensidad de su voz poética la incluye entre las autoras latinoamericanas más relevantes del siglo XX. La recuperación de su obra ha sido objeto de una larga lucha de reivindicación femenina.
