Edmund Husserl (1859-1938) was a German philosopher, considered the founder of phenomenology, a philosophical movement that deeply influenced twentieth-century thought. Among his most notable works are Logical Investigations (1900-1901), Ideas Pertaining to a Pure Phenomenology and to a Phenomenological Philosophy (1913), and The Crisis of European Sciences and Transcendental Phenomenology (1936). His work influenced figures such as Martin Heidegger and Jean-Paul Sartre, leaving a fundamental legacy in modern philosophy. Husserl explored themes such as intentionality and perception, transforming the way the relationship between the subject and the world is understood.
