Patricia Cerda, born in Concepción in 1961, is a distinguished Chilean writer, historian, and essayist who has dedicated her career to exploring the cultural memory of Chile and Latin America. Since 1986, she has been living in Germany, where she earned a PhD in History from the Free University of Berlin. She has taught Latin American History at the same university and Intercultural Communication at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

In the field of historical novels, Patricia Cerda has stood out with works such as "Mestiza" (2021), "Rugendas" (2022), and "Lucila" (2024), in which she addresses key themes of identity and cultural history of Chile and Latin America. Her writing, deeply rooted in collective memory, invites reflection on the past and its influence on contemporary realities, establishing her as an essential voice in Spanish-speaking historical narrative.

No me di cuenta que era edición de bolsillo... Por esta razón es un libro de tamaño pequeño y las tapas son de cartón débil. Soy una persona con discapacidad visual así que se me ha hecho un poco difícil y lenta la lectura (las Ediciones B no me suelen causar dificultad xq son más grandes las letras). En cuanto al texto, a la lectura, a la novela... Es MARAVILLOSA, atrapante... Yo había leído otro de Patricia Cerda y quise leer este para "ver si me enganchaba" y así fue, completamente atrapada.
