As a man of standing in first Tyre, then Carthage, then Rome, and finally Constantinople, he watches the rise and fall of empires, much to his regret.Throughout his travels he meets people from all walks of life, some of whom go on to be remembered to the present day, others of whom are all but forgotten.The Narrator has many stories to share, but not a lot of time to share them. Through his words, he hopes he will be remembered.
