Synopsis "My Good Name"

As war brews across the sea, Indianapolis native Johnny wrestles with the purpose for his life. He plans to join the Marines and finally make himself useful. Nothing is going to stop him. When the Marines turn him away because of his colorblindness, he presses on to the 101st Airborne to be a paratrooper. Missouri-born Nellie Mae only wants to get out from under the thumb of her mother, or finally get her attention, who knows which it is? The only thing she knows for sure is that she's going to finish high school no matter how long it takes. She'll be the first to make something of herself. That is, before her mother insists she travel to Indianapolis to help her aunt. As their lives intersect with each other and with the events of their time, Nellie Mae and Johnny will have to come to terms with the fact that God's plan for their lives bears a stark difference to their own ideas. He will reveal their true heart as they learn the surprising true reflection of love, revealed best through the stormy waters of trouble and pain. Come along on an adventure based on a true story straight out of World War II. Be amazed by the way God leads us boldly on to do his work in our place and time and teaches us to honor our good name - the name of Christ.
