Joginder Paul is the first Urdu writer to use the word ’Afsancha’ instead of words like mini-story and short-short-story. Therefore, the credit for introducing ’Afsancha’ as a genre in Urdu literature, giving it literary status and developing it goes to Joginder Paul. Joginder Paul is well aware of the fact that today’s man is losing his moral and human dignity due to industrial development and the development of technology. He feels himself a stranger and lonely even in a crowd. The moral values of man are declining day by day and the individual is gradually starting to live a life like an animal. He also shows the beauty of the human soul in hostile situations and the terrible scene of its distortion. He says through his stories that the madness of history cannot shelter man, but only love, humanity, compassion and tolerance can shelter man. This book "Kiran Kiran (Ray Ray)" is a collection of selected short stories by Joginder Paul.
