Mick Caban hat eine Hölle voll seelischer und körperlicher Qualen hinter sich. Schuld daran sind einige Leute der diktatorischen Regierung, die ein Projekt grö ter Geheimhaltung ins Leben riefen. Erst seit ca. 6 Jahren gibt es für Mick ein halbwegs normales Leben, denn das Projekt existiert nicht mehr, von dem er ein Teil war. Doch auch die Gegenwart birgt aufgrund Cabans Vergangenheit tödliche Gefahren, wenn seine falsche Identität auffliegt. Daher vertraut er nicht vielen Leuten und selbst die wissen nichts über sein Vorleben. Dann lernt er Tanika kennen und damit das Gefühl, wie es ist, wirklich zu lieben. Allerdings unterschreibt er damit unwissentlich sein Todesurteil und geht durch eine weitere Hölle.
