Samurai's Fable - Hale Knight

A nameless ronin walks into a jungle that has swallowed everything before him. The jungle does not know what it has just let in.

He arrives on a river with no name, carrying two katanas and nothing else. No master. No clan. No purpose except the one that pulls him forward into the green dark. The temple holds an Oni. The swamp holds teeth. The fever holds his dead. The dragon holds a curse.

Each step east brings him closer to the four-armed demon waiting in the mountain-a swordsman who has been killing for a thousand years and has never met an equal.

But the jungle is not just obstacles. It is a mirror. The pool shows him what he really is. The drums walk with him. The fever brings back the voice of the only woman he ever loved, and she has something to say about the death he's been chasing.
