Synopsis "The Ice Age Challenge"

Cherish the freedom to love, to live, to choose, to heal, to reach beyond marriage in order to enrich it; courageously seeking greater happiness, liberty, peace and joy in the world. How far have we been guided from what is in the heart? We live in an Ice Age in this respect. We live in a world, dark with injustice, war, looting, impotence, terror, genocide and so on. Who takes up the challenge to break out of this trap? The path is a fast and slippery slope; a slalom run. The protagonist dares, inexperienced. The scene in the novel unfolds at a youth-organized conference to explore the liberation of men to advance the liberation of woman. The location is a resort town in Russia, at the Black Sea; though it could be anywhere. Here fiction and reality merge; boundaries blur; sexual and social boundaries blur as well. A multi-faceted love story unfolds in this setting, painted with the Principle of Universal Love and the colors of romance, passion, politics, conspiracies, religion, sex, wide horizons, and even a faint dawning of the universal sense of marriage by virtue of us all being human beings with a single, common humanity that we all share, though seldom cherish. The novel explores scientific moral freedoms on a platform where the seemingly impossible becomes achievable, and is at times, but not without trials along the way. The novel brings the past and the future together, intertwined with the kaleidoscope of the present.
