Synopsis "The JOURNEY"

Contemplating on her life, sixty Nine year old Edwina George has stage four lung cancer. She has spent the last fifty five years trying to forget her violent tragic childhood, which includes witnessing the murder of her beloved grandmother Mima. As her end of days draws near, she is transported back to her six year old self. Her childhood memories are unfastened, she finally put the pieces into her puzzle and discovers the truth about her bloodline. Her relationship to her husband Harold has never been easy, and her grown up children Jonathan, Phoebe and Maddie are a product of that turbulent relationship. The process of dying humbles the strongest of lions, what she realises is that through all the dysfunction, there is love. Through all the pain and resentfulness there is devotion, everything that she ever wanted in her life, she already had. Is it too late to heal their wounds?
