Synopsis "The Rose"

So here I go with a tale that starts in 1217 somewhere in Scotland. A story of how love transcends time. Of two that find each other? No, but find something more. One will move on and have to accept changes. Many changes. And survive. A young Lass named Rhosellyn, now at age ten and 7 years. Rhosellyn is an only child of William and Cynthya McMichael. Laird and Lady of Cliff Castle that sits at the far north end of English lands. The castle is a smaller one and sits beside a large cliff that oversees the channel entrance on one side and a mountain on the North with several valleys, farmland and a healthy forest. The English now want this strategic area to be the first post to see entrance into the channel. From here they tend to protect their English boarder from attack. They sent word for the Laird to surrender, and in doing so, the promise would be no bloodshed. They would allow the family and staff to leave with no consequences. The Laird of the Clan McMichael said no.Cliff Castle is now preparing to fight. All their people, clan families have been rounded up and brought inside the walls for protection. Safety is a priority. Those that wanted to leave, left. But most of them stayed. Stayed to help in the fight and protect Cliff Castle. To keep what is theirs. The wait is over as word came that the English are drawing near. Soon, the sound of drums faintly echoed from the valley below. The Laird and his warriors know that the last tree line had been entered.Even they have seen the animals scatter as their wood was invaded. Soon the English would be close. The castle and residents were preparing for war.
