Synopsis "The Storm"

Can courage weather the storm? When thirteen-year-old Carrie-Anne Grantley sits down to write a school composition, her thoughts drift back to an unforgettable adventure from the recent school holidays. What begins as a carefree day of horse riding with her brothers and their trusted farmhand, Owen, soon turns into a test of courage, friendship and faith. As the young riders explore the bush, build jumps and enjoy the freedom of life on the land, an unexpected storm sweeps across the countryside. With thunder crashing, lightning flashing and frightened horses to calm, Carrie, Tony and Darwyn must face their fears and rely on one another in ways they never imagined. Set in rural Australia in the 1950s, The Storm is a heartwarming story of family, resilience and growing up. Filled with adventure, humour and memorable characters, it celebrates the special bond between children and their horses while reminding readers that courage is often found in the most challenging moments.
