(2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. John Ruskin (London, February 8, 1819 - Coniston, January 20, 1900) was an influential writer, art critic, and British social reformer of the 19th century. His work covers a wide range of subjects, including art, architecture, and political economy.

Among his most notable works are "Modern Painters" (1843-1860), a defense of contemporary landscape painting; "The Seven Lamps of Architecture" (1849), where he establishes fundamental principles of architecture; and "The Stones of Venice" (1851-1853), a deep analysis of Venetian architecture. Additionally, "Sesame and Lilies" (1865) and "The Bible of Amiens" (1880-1885) reflect his interest in literature and history.
