The last time the Shadow People made their presence known was in April of 2016. Over the previous year, they appeared as silent observers showing up at random times watching an unsuspecting family.

TK and Zhāng-her husband-enjoyed a comfortable life in Powhatan, Virginia. Life was quiet in the country, even while raising two energetic children. An accurate description would be serene. Their powerful union forged a strong marriage and family. Well, at first glance anyway. But, was it a lie?

TK-renamed YòuMù-wakes in a warrior's camp run by Wong Fei-Hung, Lam Sai-Wing, and Leung Foon. In Camp Shí Qū, the Torment's haunting deepens YòuMù's emotional isolation, compounding her struggle to understand where she is, and her attempts to get back to the twenty-first century. If there is any hope of surviving, YòuMù must accept the opportunity to train in Kung Fu, and the wisdom the camp administrators are trying to share.
