Synopsis "Vorträge Über Kunst (in German)"

John Ruskin, Grossbritanniens wohl einflussreichster Kunstkritiker des 19. Jahrhunderts, veröffentlichte zwei Jahre vor seinem Tod im Jahr 1888 eine Reihe von Vorlesungen über Kunst. Die "Vorträge über Kunst" waren im Zeitraum der Jahre 1870 bis 1875 im Zusammenhang mit Ruskins Tätigkeit als Professor an der Universität Oxford entstanden und beschäftigen sich u. a. mit den Themen "Licht", "Farbe", "Kunst und Moral". Ruskins Werk ist allgemeinhin für seine Sprachgewandtheit bekannt, die Lektüre der Vorlesungen ist deshalb nicht nur für den rein wissenschaftlichen Gebrauch hochinteressant. Nachdruck der Originalausgabe aus dem Jahr 1901.
