As the first independent power producer licensed in Malaysia, its power purchase agreement has the best terms offered, which include a take-or-pay clause; which requires Tenaga Nasional to pay a guaranteed amount whether the power is uploaded or not. The total generation capacity is 1,212 MW. YTL Power generates electricity mainly from two combined cycle power stations; using both steam turbine and gas turbine.
