Synopsis "Zur Wohnungsfrage... (in German)"

In "Zur Wohnungsfrage...", Friedrich Engels addresses the critical housing shortage and its connection to the capitalist system. This work examines the proposals made to alleviate the housing crisis, and critically analyzes their efficacy within the existing socio-economic structures. Engels argues that the housing problem is inextricably linked to the broader issues of class struggle and capitalist exploitation. He contends that genuine solutions necessitate a fundamental transformation of the economic system itself, advocating for socialist principles as the path toward resolving the housing question. This book offers insight into Marxist thought on urban development and social justice, remaining relevant for understanding contemporary debates around affordable housing and urban inequality. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
