Dientes de león recoge un extenso diálogo entre Kuno y la madre de Ineko mientras se alejan del manicomio y nos propone una honda reflexión filosófica acerca del peso de las decisiones que tomamos, así como de las lábiles fronteras entre la cordura y la locura. Novela póstuma de Yasunari Kawabata publicada en 1971, se ofrece aquí por primera vez en español, brillantemente traducida del japonés original por Tana Oshima. En ella, el autor mantiene vivo su inquisitivo espíritu infantil ante los misterios de la existencia humana. “Puedo ver la colina sobre la que está el hospital, pero no puedo ver a Ineko. ¿Realmente está ella allí, entre la arboleda, en medio de todos esos locos?”

Yasunari Kawabata (Osaka, Japan, 1899 – 1972) was one of the great writers of the 20th century and the first Japanese to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature (1968), an award given for the delicacy of his prose and his ability to capture the essence of the Japanese spirit

In addition to the Nobel, Kawabata received distinctions such as the Goethe-Medaille (Germany, 1959), the Order of Arts and Letters of France, and the Order of Culture of Japan. He was president of the Japanese PEN Club, promoting Japanese literature worldwide
