Stephen King (Portland, Maine, September 21, 1947) is one of the most influential and prolific authors of contemporary literature, famous for revitalizing the horror genre and captivating millions of readers worldwide. He graduated in English Language from the University of Maine and worked as a teacher before dedicating himself fully to writing after the success of his first novel, Carrie (1974). Since then, he has published more than 60 novels and hundreds of short stories, many under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, with iconic titles such as The Shining, IT, Misery, The Dark Tower, Pet Sematary, and The Green Mile, many of which have been successfully adapted into films and television. His narrative, characterized by exploring the darkest corners of the human mind and society, has sold over 500 million copies and has been translated into dozens of languages.

Throughout his career, King has received numerous accolades, including the National Book Award for contributions to American literature (2003), the National Medal of Arts (2015), and dozens of Bram Stoker, World Fantasy, British Fantasy, and Edgar awards, among others. Considered the “king of horror,” his work has profoundly influenced popular culture and remains an essential reference for readers and fiction writers. He currently lives in Maine, where he continues to write and actively participate in American cultural and social life.

Esta es la edición que se debe comprar, muy cómoda y cuidada. No las otras con portadas feas y hojas transparentes, clásico de debolsillo. Aún no lo termino pero hasta el momento viene bien (digo porque en algunas ediciones me ha pasado que no incluyen los capitulos completos o hay errores). Por lo demás, todo bien.

No me molestaría pagar más si las hojas fueran un poco más gruesas. Un libro así de extenso debería tener tapa dura, no cobertor de tapa. No entiendo a las otras reseñas en esta publicación. Si pueden, gasten su dinero en alguna otra editorial. Las hojas de un periódico son más gruesas qué las de esta edición.
