Jason Aaron is an acclaimed comic book writer. Among his most recognized works are “Scalped”, a noir series from DC Comics' Vertigo imprint that earned him a spot on The New York Times bestseller list, and “Southern Bastards” (Paletos Cabrones), published by Image Comics and awarded at the Eisner Awards.
At Marvel Comics, Aaron has developed various highly successful projects, including his influential run on “Thor”, where he created the notable female version of the character, and his work on The Avengers, where he developed a very long stint, with one of the most important sagas of the superhero group. Additionally, he launched the new Star Wars series, whose first issue sold over a million copies in the U.S. and became the biggest American comic book success in twenty years.
Russell Dauterman es un dibujante, diseñador e ilustrador estadounidense, que ha trabajado a lo largo de su carrera para las principales editoriales de la industria, incluyendo BOOM! Studios, Marvel y DC Comics, entre otras. Enamorado de los superhéroes desde niño, se graduó en el Boston College y estudió diseño e ilustración, así como historia de la moda, en la California University of Los Angeles. Se inicia en el mundo de los superhéroes gracias a las series de dibujos animados de la Patrulla-X y Batman de la década de 1990. Gran aficionado a las series y autores de mutantes de la época, como Generation X, con John Romita Jr. o Chris Bachalo, así como a Disney y Masters Of The Universe, comienza a depurar su estilo hasta crear un portfolio que presenta en diversas convenciones de cómics norteamericanas. También indica entre sus influencias al artista Frank Quitely.
Tras su periodo formativo trabaja como diseñador de vestuario para películas como Captain America, The First Avenger o The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, pasando también a dibujar la serie Supurbia (2012), publicada por BOOM! Studios, en lo que sería sus inicios en la industria del cómic, a la que le seguiría Grace Randolph's Supurbia (2012). No obstante, previamente, había dibujado los dos primeros números de la miniserie The Mis-Adventures of Adam West (2011), perteneciente al sello editorial Bluewater Comics. Entre 2012 y 2013, realiza portadas para varias series de la editorial Valiant en títulos como Shadowman, Quantum + Woody, Punk Mambo y Unity, además de participar brevemente en la cabecera de DC Nightwing, ilustrando dos números. Posteriormente, pasa a trabajar para la editorial Marvel Comics, encargándose del arte de la serie Cyclops (2014) y, de manera más o menos regular, de la cabecera Thor vol.2 y más tarde en Mighty Thor (2016) y The Unworthy Thor (2017), durante la etapa escrita por el guionista Jason Aaron.
Aunque el trabajo de Dauterman en la Casa de las Ideas ha estado marcado principlamente por su asociación a los respectivos Dioses del Trueno, también se le ha podido ver puntualmente en otros títulos de la editorial, en calidad de dibujante invitado o portadista, como All-New Iron Man & Avengers (2016), Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic - Mace Windu (2017), Jean Grey vol.1 (2017), Marvel Legacy (2017), Black Panther vol.7 (2018) y Love Romance (2019), entre otros. En 2019, se convierte en el artista principal del evento-crossover The War of the Realms, de nuevo en colaboración con el guionista Jason Aaron.
