After earning a Bachelor's degree in Film and Video from the University of Michigan and a Master of Fine Arts at USC, he began his creative career as an intern at Marvel Comics in 2002.
During that time, he caught the attention of Marvel universe executives with sample scripts, which opened the opportunity for him to write for the animated series X‑Men: Evolution. In television, he produced and wrote episodes for series such as The Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, and Iron Man: Armored Adventures, and was one of the main writers and story editors on The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Starting in 2010, he joined Marvel's cinematic screenwriters program, which allowed him to co-write movies like Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and work on other projects like Max Steel. He has also participated in Lucasfilm productions such as Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian, and recently served as showrunner and executive producer of the new series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
His creative approach combines grand superhero sagas with deep narratives and emotionally charged characters, establishing himself as an influential voice in contemporary entertainment.
