Synopsis "Testimonios Sobre Mariana / Testimonies about Mariana (in Spanish)"

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION "Testimonies about Mariana is one of those books written every so often. Regardless of its errors, tiny errors, it is an unusual novel, as strange as it is captivating." --Emilio Carballo From three different perspectives (the three "testimonies"), an equal number of obsessive characters try to recapture the memory of Mariana in an attempt to ease their conscience. Mariana is gone from their lives, plunging into or evading existential and erotic conflicts, overwhelmed by the stalking and harassment she is subjected to by her husband, Augusto, and the entourage of sycophants surrounding him. This semi-autobiographical novel, something Elena Garro only confirmed vaguely, convinced that fiction is always nurtured by life, sheds light on the author's intimacy, regarding the turbulent time she live in.
