This book brings together 24 researchers from various disciplines and universities, exploring the phenomenon of pain through history, literature, philosophy, theology, psychology, and psychiatry. The work is the result of two years of work on the project “A Cartography of Pain: Interdisciplinary on Homo Dolens”, sponsored by the Ian Ramsey Centre at the University of Oxford.
