Rafael Gaune
Rafael Gaune Corradi is a Chilean historian and academic at the Institute of History of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. His work focuses on cultural and social history, addressing issues such as pain, memory, and collective representations from an interdisciplinary perspective. He has participated in international research projects, highlighting his collaboration with the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion at the University of Oxford.

Among his most notable works is Homo Dolens. Cartographies of Pain: meanings, experiences, records (2018), co-edited with Claudio Rolle. This book brings together 24 researchers from various disciplines and universities, exploring the phenomenon of pain through history, literature, philosophy, theology, psychology, and psychiatry. The work is the result of two years of work on the project “A Cartography of Pain: Interdisciplinary on Homo Dolens”, sponsored by the Ian Ramsey Centre at the University of Oxford.
